NAIROBI, Saturday, September 5, 2026 — Nairobi gubernatorial hopeful Ronald Karauri has intensified his grassroots engagement across the capital, holding direct conversations with residents as he seeks to understand their priorities and aspirations for the city.
Karauri said his engagements this week provided an opportunity to listen to Nairobians, exchange ideas and better understand the challenges facing residents in their daily lives.
He maintained that Nairobi needs leadership that listens to its people, unites communities and delivers practical solutions to the challenges affecting the capital.
According to Karauri, residents are calling for a better-organised, accountable, inclusive and responsive Nairobi where citizens' concerns are placed at the centre of governance.
The engagements come as Karauri continues to position himself as a candidate focused on grassroots mobilisation and people-driven leadership ahead of the 2027 elections.
“The message from Nairobians is clear: we want a better-organised, accountable, inclusive and responsive Nairobi. And that transformation begins with a leader who puts the people first,” his campaign said.
Karauri's supporters have increasingly branded him the “People's Captain,” portraying his grassroots engagements as part of a broader effort to build a direct connection with Nairobi residents.
The campaign says Karauri is ready to listen, unite and deliver as he seeks to lead Nairobi into what he describes as a better future.
